PublishingPageContent

TentsThis program is designed to develop students’ resilience, teamwork and leadership qualities.  Students will plan an overnight campout incorporating the following activities:

  • Plan the route from Barambah EEC to the campout site.

  • Plan what they need to take (food, bedding, equipment) and pack and carry to site.

  • Navigate to the campout site using map, compass and GPS

  • Care for their own and others well-being and safety.

  • Carry our field studies along the way e.g. biodiversity audits.

  • Demonstrate minimal impact bushwalking and camping practices.

It is anticipated that the campout would occur on the second night of a Barambah camp.  It is suggested that schools wishing to take up this option contact Barambah teaching staff to discuss further.
