We would like to introduce you to our friendly and professional team.

Our staff of 8 includes our Principal, Highly Accomplished Teacher, Experienced Senior Teacher, Teacher, Program Officer, OEEC Business Manager, Unit Support Officer and Facilities Maintenance Officer.

Everyone at Barambah Environmental Education Centre is committed to delivering a great camp experience and programs that align with the Australian Curriculum for students, staff and visiting parents.

Mountain biking

A well-outfitted mountain bike fleet and extensive paths and skills areas make Barambah a fantastic place for biking.

Outdoor Learning

Back in the campgrounds, the outdoor games area has hopscotch, ring toss, chess, quoits and handball. All this is set in a well-maintained, relaxing garden where you can enjoy both the native fauna and flora.

Native plant nursery

Barambah has a well-stocked native plant nursery, with plants on sale to schools, community groups and the general public by arrangement. Enquire through admin at admin@barambaheec.eq.edu.au.

Facilities and equipment

Barambah Environmental Education Centre can accommodate 67 students and 8 adults in our barrack-style accommodation.

Each room in the 5 barracks—LillyPilly Lodge, Bandicoot Bungalow, Koala Kottage, Cockatoo Cabin and Possum Palace—is clean, comfortable, air-conditioned and includes a mixture of furnishings. The majority of rooms sleep four people, with adequate space for personal belongings.

Amenities

The centrally located amenities block has girls’ and boys’ showers and toilets, an accessible toilet and shower, and separate male and female staff showers and toilets.

Kitchen and dining

A fully equipped stainless steel kitchen caters easily and efficiently for large groups, with access to a large cold room and BBQ facilities. The communal dining room also includes a small kitchenette and coffee-making facilities.

Staying connected

The Centre is not located within mobile phone range, but adult visitors have access to a telephone for important matters or in case of an emergency.
