This program is designed to complement the C2C Science units for Prep-Year 3. Students will use their senses to investigate the needs of living things, both animals and plants in natural and man-made environments. Students will have the opportunity to use scientific equipment such as a magnifying glass, tweezers, binoculars, stethoscopes and iPads to investigate the natural environment around Barambah. Using their senses to complete a scavenger hunt students will record their findings in a Science Journal.
Students will discuss the needs of the various living organisms they discover along Bush Explorers walk and use these findings to make inferences and discuss the impact that human activities can have on the environment. Students will participate in giving back to country activities to learn about sustainable human practices that can support the needs of other living things.
