Environmental Leadership Day

Child outdoorsThis day program provides students with an opportunity to learn about the personal qualities and attributes of a number of well known environmental activists including David Attenborough, Steve Irwin, Skye Bortolli and The Lorax.  Students are able to explore the Barambah Hi-5 leadership qualities:

  • Have a clear goal or purpose

  • Communicate clearly

  • Delegate roles to others

  • Make decisions and solve problems

  • Look after your team

and then put them into practice during a practical challenge to restore a section of Wrattens Conservation Park by removing weeds and replanting with native species.  All students receive a free plant to take home.

Science

OI.2 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities maintain a special connection to and responsibility for Country/Place throughout all of Australia.

Sustainability
